（原作「灰」〈部分、『ピューリファイ！』所収〉を、複数のバージョンののち、「ある」「灰、敗走せよ」「灰、背信行為を」「不生不滅」などに腐心して、かたちがととのえられていった。じねん（自然）はgenuin（じぇぬいん）をそのまま外来語として使った語ではないかと「気づいて」、名詞化してある。安藤昌益は「自（ひとり）然（する）」と書いている。敗走、背信は、日本語の発音を生かしてbe ashed away、of the ashed actとし、不生不滅をbirthlessness、deathlessnessとすることによって、完成に近づいた。多言語社会、インドでの朗読のために、松代尚子さんの翻訳。『ミて４２』（２００２・１２・１）による。こんな試みが『ミて』に数篇、あることを思い出す。）
